Abortion: Late-Term/Partial-Birth

I choose this topic because it sounds interesting and I would like to learn about. Another reason is because just the topic in general got my attention knowing that how many babies are not even brought to this world and they are being  killed by their own mother.

  • What is the topic you are reading about? The topic I'm reading about how abortion has been going on since the passage of Roe V. Wade in 1973. The passage talks about how women had the right to be protect if they choose abortion.
  • What is the source citation? Just copy and paste it from the bottom onto your blog : "Abortion: Late-Term/Partial-Birth." Opposing Viewpoints Online Collection. Detroit: Gale, 2014.Opposing Viewpoints in Context. Web. 7 Oct. 2015.
  • Summarize the central idea of the overview in one or two sentences : The central idea of the overview is how Abortion foes have become emboldened to act ever more aggressively at chipping away at the edges of a woman’s right to choose, and states have reacted swiftly to institute prohibitive legal barriers of their own.  History also  shows that the abortion ban of 2003 indeed marked a turning point—what is not known is whether it will ultimately be for better or worse.
  • List two to four specific details that support the central idea : States reacted to institute legal barriers of their own.
  • Create an opportunity for further research by writing down two questions : Why did women have the right to abortion during that time?/ How has all that changed overtime?
  • Write down one word or phrase whose meaning you do not fully understand : anti-abortionist tactics
